This past Saturday, Renaissance Road Church hosted our second Helicopter Easter Egg Drop!
Despite 7 flyovers by the helicopter and having to ask volunteers to pop all of their balloons, and remove all the caution tape from the field because it was too dangerous for the pilot to hover near the field, the event went incredibly well.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- 20,000 Easter eggs were swiped up in LESS than 3 minutes!
- Approximately 1,500 people of ALL ages came to the event, and from many different communities!
- There were cars parked EVERYWHERE!!!!
- We gave away over 1,000 hot dogs, over 1,000 deserts, popcorn, nachos and cheese, sweet tea and lemonade.
- Great entertainment for all. Including face painting, arts and crafts, 2 bounce houses, a sack race, Silent Praise Mime Ministry, Gospel Rapper Salvation, and the Renaissance Road Church Band.
- The volunteers who helped with the event were AWESOME!!!! THANK YOU VOLUNTEERS!
- Seeing kids SOOOOOO excited to see a helicopter!
- We gave away an Xbox Kinect!
- Happy kids, happy parents, Great God!
I hope to see some of these people at Renaissance Road Church really soon!
